Proscenium

Project

2026Events · NYCLovable

New York experiential agency on Event Marketer's 2026 It List of the top 100 event agencies.

The homepage's "The way we work" section, recorded in October 2026. As you scroll, the tagline moves up and one card splits into four.

What I built

For its 15th year, Proscenium planned a full brand refresh, and Event Marketer's It List entry named "a rebuilt digital presence" as part of it. I owned that build from April 2026. The new site went live in July, and I've worked on it with their marketing team every week since.

The site runs on Lovable, with a CMS I built for their team. Case studies, articles, ProCast episodes with transcripts, the team, FAQs, awards and the media library each have their own fields. The marketing team can put together a new landing page from ready-made sections, such as a hero, stats, a gallery, video and quotes, and publish it without me. They manage redirects and form submissions in the same CMS.

I built the homepage around scroll. It opens on a spinning ring of event photos. As you scroll, the ring shrinks into a card, the card becomes the showreel, the showreel fills the screen and then closes into the Proscenium arch. One video element plays through that whole sequence. On the About page the team sits on a 3D ring you can drag, and between pages a plum dome wipes across the screen.

Every page in the sitemap comes back from the server with its title, description and text already in the HTML, so the content is in the page a crawler fetches. The contact form takes general messages, RFPs and newsletter sign-ups. It asks how people heard about Proscenium and records the page each message came from. The team can see which pages lead to enquiries.

Details

  • Smooth scrolling runs on Lenis and the scroll sequences on GSAP ScrollTrigger. Visitors who turn on reduced motion get the site without smooth scrolling, the photo ring or the showreel video.
  • After you open a case study, the back button takes you to the same spot in the list.
  • All 119 pages in the sitemap, as of October 2026, have their own canonical address and Organization schema. An llms.txt file lists the pages, 32 case studies, 50 articles and 25 ProCast episodes.
  • I set up redirects from the old site's addresses to the new pages, and the team can add more in the CMS.
  • The contact form has a hidden spam trap, shows each error next to its field and moves focus to the first one. Each message and sign-up pushes a Tag Manager event with the page it came from.
  • Each message lands in an inbox in the CMS and in the team's email. Newsletter sign-ups go to Mailchimp.
  • Archie, the site's assistant, answers questions about the studio and searches its work, articles and media. The suggested questions change with the page you're on.
