Can my team edit the site after handover?

Answer

Yes, and that is a build requirement rather than an afterthought.

Every project ships with a documented component library and a training session, and handover is part of the build rather than something quoted separately at the end. The library is documented as it is built, so what your team receives matches what is actually on the site.

The test is whether a non-technical person can add a page, a case study or a job listing without needing a developer, and without breaking the structure that makes those pages indexable. That is a CMS modelling decision made early, not a training problem solved late.

Rise Works was built specifically for handover to a non-technical team.

If the team changes or the site grows past what was handed over, a retainer covers ongoing build work. The intent is that the site is yours to run.
